While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I discovered behind its doors was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .

From the moment I entered , it was clear that sanitation was not a priority at this establishment . The surfaces were tacky , and a foul smell of decaying beverages and neglected washrooms filled the entire venue . Reeking of a mixture of human waste, a rotting odor and sickness . The bar area , which should be the focal point of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and debris that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The toilet was in even a truly awful state—overflowing , with a snapped lever and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was human waste .

From reading other reviews and chatting with the community, it seems that the quality of upkeep (or lack thereof) at this so-called establishment is a long-standing issue . During my time there, I observed how uncomfortable several women seemed around Cornwell.
